First edition of the future dramatist and poet's first separate publication, issued in the course of his second year at Harvard. The cover design is by Eric Pape, and the frontis by Alice Davenport. John S. Van E. Kohn asserted in Seven Gables 34:174 that only fifty copies were printed. However, our experience suggests that somewhat more were printed.
