Very good lightly used copy with a 5” split to the center fold at the bottom and with a trace of dust soiling. The front cover is illustrated with a graphic drawing of a Hawaiian land and sea scape with two black & white photographs of Duke Kahanamoku - one of him posed with a ukulele and the other of him in a swimming outfit standing in front of his beautifully decorated long board surf board. Duke Kahanamoku (1890 – 1968), credited as the person who popularized the modern sport of surfing and was an Olympic Gold Medalist.
