Schoenbrun was a broadcast journalist with CBS from 1947 to 1963 -- one of the reporter's known as "Murrow's boys," who worked under Edward R. Murrow. Murrow made Schoenbrun his chief Paris correspondent, and from there he visited, and covered, Vietnam.
