Hadley, 2007. . 15 x 13. Eight chapters each headed by a poem, and followed by five intaglios, "explore the inner landscape of memory, thought & dream." Each leaf suspends from lengths of twine attached to a copper-ribbed spine at the top of the book, which is cloth & handmade paper boards. One of the original etched copperplates is inlaid in upper cover An extra, signed print from this plate is laid in. Housed in tray case with engravings on spine and upper cover. One of 40 copies, each with one of the copperplates recessed into the cover. The first state of the 40 etchings were created by squashing found objects (skeletons, flora, fauna, insects) into the plate. "These intaglio fossils become the aerostatic vessels to which the artist then drafted his fantastic & lyrical gondolas."
