The fold-over flap of this early form of school primer bears the above title, and on the front cover is printed: Read and Be Wise.Come Read and Learn. The front cover woodcut is attributed by Rosenbach to Alexander Anderson; the rear cover is signed "A." Six pages including the covers. Each letter of the alphabet depicts one of the "Cries of London" with male and female street vendors, engraved on copper. Their cries are printed underneath for exercise in reading.
