Styles include Chinese pagodas, obelisks, cla ssic and Gothic structures. Marie Antoinette's Petit Trianon is included.The text gives instructions on laying out gardens, plantings, use of water and rocks and "perspective artificielle". The plate s are engraved from the drawings of Augus te Garnerey and others.
