Book Description

London: Printed for J. Almon, 1780. 23, [1]pp., 8vo. The final page is an advertisement for The London Courant; light dust soiling to first and last leaves. Disbound. First Edition. The anonymous author argues that unlike in despotic countries where “there is no remedy to bad Government but the sword; it is the glory of England, that the people have always the remedy in their hands - law, as well as reason and justice. . . . They need only speak through their representatives.” Sabin 82259 lists the second edition; not in Adams. Five copies in OCLC.
