The jacket is in very good condition, with lightly chipped edges. There is a small open tear in the front panel Profusely illustrated. Inscribed by Dietz to the Chairman of the University of Utah Theatre Department, Keith M. Engar, with an elaborate and colorful drawing, on the front free endsheet. As stated on the jacket, "Howard Dietz, who lived a double life as lyric writer for musical shows and as chief of publicity and advertising for MGM, worked and played with the most gifted, famous, difficult and amusing figures of stage and screen."
