Book Description
7" x 9". November 1920. No place. A photograph of an early and unidentified aviatrix standing in an early flight suit. She wears a leather helmet, goggles, a thick scarf and a heavy coat. "Photo Service Laboratories Orange, N.J." is stamped on the back. At the top of the back, she wrote in blue ink "November 1920 My trip over New York City in a Handley-Page airplane". There is some light foxing to the bottom half of the back of the photograph, but they don't affect the writing. Helen O'Rear became the first woman to fly over New York City in 1915. An interesting image
