4pp. 5" x 8". No date [circa 1860s]. Boston. A four page advertising pamphlet for the American Fire Extinguisher Company of Boston. The cover has slogans such as <I>"Delay Makes The Danger"</I> and a vignette of a fireman using the backpack device. The inside pages gives testimonials, such as <I>"A child can charge and use them", "One half the contents of a single machine will extinguish any fire in its early stages" and "At the burning of the Lindel Hotel in St. Louis, with a loss of $1,500,000, one of these machines would have extinguished the fire when discovered." </I>. The last page has a listing of the company's officers. The document has folds with some light wear, very light staining and some pencil marks on the back; it is in very good to fine condition overall. A fine and early fire collectible
