Book Description
Jacob Best was among the first brewers in Milwaukee, building a plant in 1844. His son Phillip rose to control the Philip Best Brewing Company brewery by 1860 and, retiring in 1864, left it to his son-in-laws, Emil Schandein and Fred Pabst. With Fred heading the company, eventually renamed the Pabst Brewing Company, it rose to become the largest brewery in the world by 1900. <P> Signed stock. 1pp. 12" x 7". April 13, 1874. Milwaukee.
