A German born American conductor and composer, Damrosch studied with his father. After coming to New York, the son was involved with the New York Symphony Society, the New York Oratorio Society, and the Metropolitan Opera Company. He pioneered symphonic radio broadcasts and composed a number of opera. <P> PS. 8" x 10". May 24 1938. No place.
