A German born American conductor and composer, Damrosch studied with his father. After coming to New York, the son was involved with the New York Symphony Society, the New York Oratorio Society, and the Metropolitan Opera Company. He pioneered symphonic radio broadcasts and composed a number of opera. PS. 8" x 10". May 24 1938. No place. A black and white studio photograph signed "Walter Damrosch May 24 1938" along the lower border. It is in mint condition and is accompanied by another signature on a slip of paper
