Book Description

ALS. 2pg. 5” x 4”. September 31, 1923. The White House. An autograph letter signed “Grace Coolidge” to William Eleazar Barton, a prominent writer, Abraham Lincoln historian, and church pastor in Oak Park, Illinois: “Thank you so much for the article in ‘The New Poetry.’ My younger boy and I nearly went into convulsions over it. When you are in Washington again and have a little spare time, I wish you would call up my secretary and let me know for I should like so much to have a little chat with you.” The letter, on a White House card, is in fine condition with a few spots.
