I have not had an opportunity to respond sooner due to the large number of similar letters received by me daily. Nevertheless, I appreciate our expressions in my behalf, and thank you cordially. You will be informed of developments in this connection in the very near future.” Typed on Senate letterhead, the letter is in fine condition.
