I am so sorry to read in the paper while I am wandering around down here in Virginia, of your great loss at Milwaukee. I hope it is not so serious as the paper states. I confess that I am a little selfish, as I fear I am mourning almost as much ove the fact that I am afraid this will prevent your agreed visit to Cincinnati, as over your loss.
