TLS. 1pg. 6 ¾” x 9”. Milford. October 22, 1940. A typed letter signed “Gifford Pinchot” on his personal letterhead. He wrote to A.E. Hurshman of Philadelphia: “Many thanks for your courteous and welcome letter. I am delighted that you approve of the position I have taken, and that you also will vote to keep an experienced man at the helm.” The letter is in very fine condition and accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
