A typed letter signed “As ever FDR” to his longtime friend and law partner, Basil O’Connor: “Your kind birthday message send through Miss LeHand made me very happy indeed. Ever so many thanks for your thought of me.” Roosevelt crossed out the conclusion, wrote “As ever” and then signed the letter. There are “Received” stamps at the top margin but it is in fine condition.
