I hope and trust that your stay there was as delightful as it sounds! Betty and I are delighted to accept you most gracious invitation to have dinner with you and Perk before the gala for the Kennedy Center" " . McGuire, whom the letter is addressed to, served as the Assistant Secretary of Defense under President Eisenhower, and was later appointed by President Nixon to be Chairman of the Commission on Government Procurement.
