TLS. 1pg. February 18, 1999. No place. A typed letter signed “Charlton Heston” to someone inquiring about joining the NRA. In part: “Thanks for your warm letter and for your interest in joining the NRA: I’d be glad to have you and your gun club join me in defense of the Second Amendment.” Heston was president of the National Rifle Association from 1998-2003. Typed on Heston’s personal letterhead, the letter is in fine condition.
