ANS. 1pg. 8” x 10”. July 3, 1855. New York. An autograph note signed “Fras C. Wemyss” two times. He penned at the bottom of a petition by the actress Mary Holl Cramer: “I Fras C. Wemyss, Secretary of the American Dramatic Fund Association do certify that Ms Mary Hill Cramer the Claimant has paid all money due to the fund, according to the Rules & Regulations of our Association up to this date. Fras C. Weymss Secretary A D F Association.” Above is an autograph letter signed “Mary Hill Cramer”, an actress: “I Mary Hill Cramer being incapacitated by age from pursuing my professional calling being over fifty two years of age wish to claim from the American Dramatic Fund Association the Annuity provided for in such cases according to the first Section of the Act of Incorporation having regularly subscribed to the funds of the Association for Seven Years all money due by me being fully paid up as by the following Certificate of the Secretary.” It is written on blue lined paper with a couple of margin chips that affect little.
