DS. 2pg. 8” x 5”. January 8, 1855. Ilion [New York]. A promissory note signed “E. Remington” twice, once on the front and once on the back. He promised “Thirty days from date the Ilion Bank promise to pay to the order of E Remington J Ingersoll LL Merry & JH Rasback five thousand dollars at the Herkimer County Bank for Value Recd. with use.” The document is in fair condition overall, with professionally repaired tears, overall soiling and staining to the right margin. There is a cut cancellation through one signature.
