Book Description

Hicks was an author and social commentator; he wrote The Great Tradition and John Reed: The Making of a Revolutionary. TLS. 1pg. 8 ½" x 6". October 14, 1938. Waban, MA. A typed letter signed "Granville Hicks" in blue pencil: "You didn't enclose the enclosure! Never mind! I will try to get in the see you some time soon, though, as you realize, I'm pretty busy. I'd like to talk about the forums and about our mutual friends. I should like to know what Eleanor Bisbee is doing and how she is. She is quite right in saying that she 'spotted' me a long time ago." Written on plain yellow paper, the letter is in fine condition, with on slight tear and two bent corners
