TLS. 1pg. 8 ½” x 11”. August 24, 1919. New York City. A typed letter signed “Cl M Holland” on “New York State Bridge & Tunnel Commission and New Jersey Interstate Bridge and Tunnel Commission” stationery. He wrote to the Press Association Compilers: “I am under the impression that I have sent you data for use in the revised edition of ‘Appleton’s Cyclopedia of American Biography’. If, however, you find that I have not done so and will send me another blank, I shall be very glad to fill it out.” The letter has a water drop stain in the center over a few words and a couple strips of archival tape on the back to reinforce a fold; it is in very good condition. This is the first Holland letter I have ever seen.
