Ink inscription of previous owner on free end paper and stamp of donor on verso of title page. Internal condition has spotting and moderate foxing throughout. Eaton was one of the early American naturalists to publish a classification scheme for indigenous plants, mainly from the Northeast region of the United States. This work went through a number of editions.
