Book Description

1922. RADER, Paul. BIG BUG. NY: Fleming R. Revell and Company, [1922]. Small 8vo., dark-blue cloth, stamped in yellow & light-blue; 288 pages. First Edition. A novel about the movie-crazed world of Hollywood by well-known evangelist Paul Rader. Rader [1879-1938] was co-owner of a business but had a religious experience where God spoke to him through an illuminated sign in New York City's Times Square area. Rader immediately rented a room and fell on his face before the Lord, left his business, and devoted the rest of his life to his ministry. His evangelical radio broadcasts were heard on various Chicago stations and on CBS. This is his first novel. Signed by Rader on the front endpaper: "Paul Rader, [Lev?] 33.3, Dec. 5, 32." Very Good (minor wear, small, light stain to lower corner of contents page).
