London: Thomas McLean, 1848]. Chromolithograph, finished by hand, cut to edge of image (as issued) and mounted on original thin card mount with ink-ruled border. 16 9/16 x 12 1/2 inches. A fine image of the interior of Windsor Castle, recording the banquet given on the occasion when Louis Philippe, King of France, was awarded the Order of the Garter. Queen Victoria, on the arm of Louis Philippe, leads in those who are dining. This high quality plate, cut to the image edge and mounted in imitation of a watercolour, is from Joseph Nash's 'Views of the Interior and Exterior of Windsor Castle', published in London in 1848.
