Poet Edwin Markham Signs Broadside of His Lincoln Memorial Dedication Poem "Lincoln, the Man of the People
A broadside of "Lincoln, The Man of the People" boldly signed "Edwin Markham 1933" at the bottom. At the top, Markham penned: "To President Robert G. Sprout, in memory of a happy afternoon". There are four stanzas of the poem printed. The extreme upper left corner has been trimmed, but I suspect it came this way, for Markham wrote around it.
