A photograph signed “Sincerely yours Thomas O’Hagan” in black ink on the lower border. The photograph is printed on paper that has been folded in quarters, including through the image and signature; this, however, does not affect much. An American writer, O'Hara's first novel Appointment in Samarra was an immediate success. He is best remembered for Butterfield 8, Pal Joey, A Rage to Live, The Doctor's Son and The Horse Knows the Way. M. 27pg. 8 ½" x 11". No date (circa 1968). No place. A photocopied typed manuscript of John O'Hara's 1968 short story "The Sun Room." It has been extensively marked up and edited. This came from the papers of noted author and editor, James T. A beautiful and oversized photograph signed “Oliver Wendell Holmes December 31, 1929” on the lower border in black fountain pen. The image, taken by Underwood and Underwood in Washington, DC, shows a profile portrait of the Justice. It is framed in dark wood and it is in mint condition. A gorgeous image.... more information

An autograph letter signed “Emmuska Orzcy” to Miss Scarth: “Will you kindly reserve us 9 seats for the entertainment at the Institute or the 17th, for which I enclose P.O.O. 13/6/ I am so glad that after all we were able to arrange for the little play, & I do hope the whole affair will be a great success.
