[ca. 1840]. Seven drawings (4 1/8 x 5 3/4 inches), preserved in a quarter-morocco clamshell case, appropriately lettered in gilt. Each drawing is highly finished, four of them are signed with a monogram; they all appear to be by the same hand. There are titles for each in pen and ink in the lower margins. The drawings are not unlike those of Robert Seymour, although unlike the artist of Seymour's Sketches, this artist has placed his subjects within a complete scene, enclosed by a border. New York Charles Wells, 1833. 12mo., brown polished calf with a repeated blind stamped design of YORK CATHEDRAL WEST FRONT on both covers; spine also stamped in blind with the addition of the author's last name in gilt.
