A rare and early letter by a University of Michigan student, discussing his try-outs for the famed basketball team. This letter was penned in 1907, just 15 years after Naismith's invention of the game. The student, named Glenn, states in part: “...Our class practices for basketball tonight but I don't believe I will go out for the team I don't care enough for it.
