Brooklyn: Published for Glacier Park Hotel Co. by the Albertype Co, 1920. 12 unnumbered leaves with mounted color illustrations. Oblong folio. Publisher's printed wrappers, string-bound. Noticeable chip to top corner of front wrapper, some soiling. Small marginal soiling to a couple leaves. Very good. A handsome collection of natural scenes showcasing the majesty of Glacier National Park in Montana. The hand-colored photographic views picture prominent locations in the park, including Two Medicine Lake, Trick Falls, Cut Bank Valley, Iceberg Lake, Grinnell Glacier, Dawn Mist Falls, and Heaven's Peak. The photographer, T.J. Hileman, studied photography in Chicago before going west to take pictures of Montana, specifically Glacier National Park and the Blackfoot Indians. He became the official photographer for the Great Northern Railway in 1924. The Glacier Park Hotel, who commissioned the printing of this work, opened in 1914 and welcomed guests until the hotel and surrounding guest cabins were sold to the Great Northern Railway in 1930 (Inventory #: WRCAM53393)
