Thick 8vo, original blue cloth with elaborate gilt decorations. spine ends on both volumes very lightly worn, edges of corners worn, scattered foxing to both volumes, pages slightly wavy throughout in both volumes, small area of light soiling to back covers of both volumes, small dampstains to some margins of volume one. Waterbury: Bronson Brothers, 1854. First Edition Volumes I and II were published in 1854. The lacking third volume was published in 1879. Pages 481 to 765 of volume II comprise a genealogical history of 88 Woodbury area families. William Cothren was a prominent Connecticut lawyer who moved to Woodbury in 1844.
