The solutions he gives are inspired by the principles of Christian philosophy and adapted to the actual conditions of society. Father Holaind [1836-1913], a Jesuit, was a notable neo-scholastic philosopher. He was Professor of Ethics and Sociology at Woodstock College, and Lecturer on Natural and Canon Law at Georgetown University.
