A literary biography of British author Eden Phillpotts (1862 - 1960), the author of The Thing at Their Heels, The Red Redmaynes, The Monster, The Clue from the Stars, The Captain's Curio, Saurus, Yellow Sands, etc. His novel Widecombe Fair was adapted by him into a comic play entitled The Farmer's Wife which was later made into a silent film by Alfred Hitchcock in 1927.
