Original bolted blue cloth, pebbled blue cloth boards with gilt boarder and titling. Edges slightly frayed and chipped, faint scattered stains and age toning; internally very good. A comprehensive French wallpaper samples book. Papers with various finishes of velvet, matte, and glossy, including a few embossed or “Lincrusta” designs, many are lightfast or washable. Designs of many different styles including: friezes, botanical, floral, geometric, wood grain, tapestry patterns, acanthus leaf scroll work, cottage style, marbled, pebbled, mosaic, ceiling patterns, et al.
