Rethinking Marxism's perspective reflected the theoretical work of University of Massachusetts economists Stephen Resnick and Richard Wolff, who attempted to formulate a "non-determinist" Marxian theory, significantly drawing on the work of Marxist philosopher Louis Althusser.
