New York: The Outlook Press, 1902. Vellum. Very Good. The 1902 "birthday" edition. #67 of only 80 copies bound in vellum and signed by Edward Everett Hale on the limitation to commemorate his 80th birthday. Solid and VG in its full vellum, with still-bright gilt-titling along the spine. A small trace of very light soiling at the vellum, the original red ribbon ties running horizontally along the panels have been almost completely removed. 2 former owner bookplates as well at te front pastedown but, still, very presentable. Octavo, wonderful tipped-in 1901 frontispiece portrait of Hale by Alfred Houghton Clarke. (Inventory #: 14681)
