This first volume includes poetry excerpts from Publius Ovidius Naso (Ovid), Catullus, Publius Vergilius Maro (Virgil), Seneca, Cornelius Gallus, Persius, Sextus Turpilius, Gaius Lucilius, Livius Andronicus, Publius Terencius (Terence), and many other Roman poets.
Binding partly rubbed, with some abrasion to leather. Head and tail of spine chipped, with some worming to head. Sporadic clear water-staining along inner margin and fore-edge throughout (not affecting lettering). Some worming at upper margin of pages 47 to 252 (not affecting lettering), and lower margin of pages 1167 to 1198 (slightly affecting lettering). Sporadic foxing and age-toning throughout. Text in Latin. Binding in overall fair, interior in good- to very good condition. (Inventory #: 43318)
