Folio; G/Fair-; Black spine w/o text; Boards consist of folio case with detached side panels and detached front & rear panels but all are present, exterior is heavily scuffed and smudged, front panel appears to have moisture staining at head edge going midway toward center and rubbed corners, slight rubbing along all edges, and fraying at rear tail edge; Text block consists of unbound, loose pages which are slightly age toned with generally slight edge wear, shadow toning at head edge of title page, light moisture staining on inside tail corner of subject & preface pages, and includes manilla envelope with pamphlet of introduction and a letter to the editors of the Boston Daily Advertiser from Charles Eliot Norton dated April 11, 1878; 33 plates.
