4to. London: Sotheby's, 2006. 4to, 84 pp with full descriptions and colored illustrations of the 20 lots. As new in red paper covered glazed boards, replicating the leather portfolio in which the designs were found. A highly controversial sale breaking up the complete (but for one at Yale) set after they had failed to sell privately for $20,000,000 (i.e. $1,000,000 per lot). All but a few of the lots failed to sell or sold at the minimum reserve. Several more were sold privately for years after the sale. A few remain unaccounted for. The general introduction by Bialler and Essick is 10pp giving background to the production of the book. (Inventory #: 108879)
