[N.p.: Drunken Press, 1951]. Hardcover. A quirky and charming collection of bawdy and topical songs as sung by members of the U.S. Pacific Command in WW2 and the Korean War. Divided into sections titled "Bawdy or Thereabouts;" "Drunk or Drinking;" "Military Jibe;" and "Old Favorites." Printed throughout in multiple colors. Illustrated with crude but lively cartoons, many of a mildly salacious nature, by an artist identified only as "Rino." Of the compiler, Dick Boutelle, we can learn little other than that he was a President of the Fairchild Aircraft Corp. in the Fifties and later founded Armalite, a manufacturer of tactical weapons including the AR- series of automatic assault rifles. This a scarce publication; OCLC locates one copy only (Cornell) as of 2017. Quarto (11"). Spiral-bound text within photo-pictorial cloth boards; ,109,pp; illus. Trivial external wear; Near Fine. So-called "Seventh Edition". Presentation leaf completed in ink to "Col. Luckman", identified as Volume II, Copy no. 1 (as, apparently, are all copies), signed by compiler Dick Boutelle. (Inventory #: 37839)
