Known for his research on Rutherford, "Larry's early writing focused on the career of Ernest Rutherford, "the greatest experimental physicist since Faraday," who is also recognized as the father of nuclear physics. Exploring Rutherford's career and papers required a combination of historical expertise along with an understanding of physics.
