The full collection contained four stories: "The wreck of the Titan", "The Pirates", "Beyond the Spectrum", and "In the Valley of the Shadow".; This story is best known for its similarities to real-life disaster of the RMS Titanic, although it was published 14 years before the actual Titanic. Similarities include carrying an insufficient number of lifeboats, hitting an iceberg on the night of April, sinking in the North Atlantic, and killing most of the people on board.; First issued in 1898, this is the 1912 reissue.; LP consignment; shelved case 2.
