The text is illustrated with drawings by Edgar Holloway, 8 leaves of black and white plates and a folding map in the rear. Olwen Brogan (1900–89) was a British archaeologist whose research focused primarily on Roman Libya. Publisher's teal cloth with gilt lettering to spine; spine and edges faded.
