Philadelphia: Lea and Blanchard, 1843. First Edition. Small Octavo. x, 310 pages. Dr. Walshe of Dublin was the Professor of Medicine and Physician at University College in London. This was his first important book on the lungs. It contained an index and charts for serious medical students. Later he became a pioneer on how to recognize direct mitral murmurs and related issues of the heart. Bound in publisher's brown cloth, spine lettering gilt, some scattered foxing mostly to first and last few leaves. A very nice copy.
