Laid-in "air letter", (3 pages) from Cole to antiquarian Herbert Reichner, discussing a planned trip to the United States and the sale of several personal rare books, dated February 2, 1953. Also laid in: several excerpts from comparative zoology articles and a Christmas announcement from Charles Singer, leading authority of science, and his wife Dorothea. Reichner was a famed antiquarian from Vienna, who fled to America to escape the Nazis. A nice association copy.
