For the puzzled Victorian party host, a plethora of games to entertain children, adults and the elderly at the next family party, with 100 illustrations. Indoor games, "frosty weather" games, Christmas games, and card tricks are just a few sections children's author Laura Valentine (1814–99) provides for the Victorian family looking for hours of fun.
Most of the illustrations, including the engraved frontispiece, are => signed in the plate by the Brothers Dalziel. The many, masterful engravings, usually occupying the top portion of the page, depict children playing the various games Valentine guarantees will create an engaging party.
