Moderate rubbing to boards, somewhat heavier rubbing to extremities with wear to spine ends and corners, front board partially detached, rear hinge cracked, owner bookplate of William Paine Sheffield to front pastedown. Moderate toning to text, occasional faint dampspotting. $500. * First edition. This book is included in Holdsworth's survey of the literature of eighteenth-century common law, where he calls it "a considerable collection." The precedents were digested and revised by Rice, who added a table giving the date of the case relating to each precedent and, if reported, a reference to a reporter.
