This title, the third volume is a collection of gay sea chanties and charts the maiden voyage of an early 19th century sailing vessel. Peter Spier (1927-2017) was a Dutch born artist who emigrated to the United States in 1950. He became an acclaimed illustrator and won many awards for his work, including the Caldecott Medal. A thin oblong volume bound in green paper boards with illustration and titling on front cover. Slight wear to covers but very good. In original dust jacket with same illustration on front and rear covers. Light rubbing but also very good. Unpaginated.
