A nearly complete run inclusive of Vol 1, No 1 through Vol IV, no 9 (lacking September 1953, Vol II, No 5) . Individual issues are creased (from mailing), and all but one are originals (the other may stilll be but the stock is not the same). Many issues have instititutional stamps where they were previously held. The volume was withdrawn from the Air University Library Maxwell Air Force Base Alabama, and stamped surplus LOC on the second flyleaf. Cloth. An important publication interested in "tracing the development of photography." Includes both original articles and reprints of articles from various scientific journals. Early photography, film, and other related topics are reported on. Publication normally ceased in the summer, with Jun-Aug not published. Some issues had supplements, bound in where noted below. List of issues: Jan 1952 (Vol 1, No 1) to Vol 1, No 9 (December 1952). [ publication was suspended after May until Sept.]. Includes Supplement to IMAGE (photo-offset lithograph reproduction of an original print of Sir John F. W. Herschel by Julia Margaret Cameron). Also, Jan-Feb 1953 (Vol 2, No 1-2) to May 1953 (Vol 2, No 5) and October 1953 (Vol 2, No 7) to December 1953 (Vol II, No 9). [ Note: Sept 1953 lacking ]. Also Vol III, No 1 (Jan 1954) to Vol III, No 5 (May, 1954) [including supplement in May]. Also Vol III No 6 (Sept 1954) to Vol III, No 9 (Dece 1954). [ including supplement in Sept - stamp portrait ]. And finally Vol IV, No 1 (Jan 1955) to Vol IV No 5 (May 1955) plus Vol IV No 6 (Sept 1955) to Vol IV no 9 (Dec 1955).
